ED I Telecom Designer

Responsibilities

• Originate new and revise existing Telecommunications engineering drawings.
• Revise and check Telecommunications engineering drawings against company procedures, standards, and checklists.
• Prepare complete bill of materials for all assigned drawings.
• Receive trainings related to job as required.
• Awareness and following of all drafting aspects such as correct use of symbols, layers and formats.
• Completion of work within allocated man-hours effectively and plan work to avoid slippage.
• Interfaces, coordinates and communicate effectively with the Project Lead and other team members.
• Coordinates with all disciplines (as necessary) in the preparation and development of the deliverables and ensure that other disciplines input are incorporated.
• Support Telecommunications Design Coordinator and/or Senior Designer's, in maintaining a needs list of design criteria to support completion of drafting assignment.
• Go for site visits and verify site conditions and markup drawings/perform as-built activities.
  

Qualifications

• Diploma, Higher Diploma or Associate Degree in Telecommunication/ Electronics / Electrical Engineering or equivalent diploma.
• Minimum work experience entry level 0-2 years industry experience
• Good level of general computer literacy and some basic familiarity with relevant engineering software (Auto Cad, MicroStation).
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently and demonstrate effective organizational skills.
