Job Title: Chief Financial Officer USA
Company Info: Our client is the North American entity of a European market leader in e-mobility. The US structure has been finalized, and we are hiring the leadership team to support $100M expected revenue by CY2024, growing to multiples of that in 2-3 years.
Position Information: Our client is looking for a Chief Financial Officer for the US entity; however, the ideal candidate will have some form of international educational, living or business experience, ideally working with a European Company. The ability to communicate in German is highly desirable. We will consider a VP or fast-rising director if they demonstrate experience in most of the areas below.
- CFO Overview:
- Excellent understanding of all business aspects of managing the finance department of an organization projected to reach $1Billion in revenue.
- Assist the Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer in developing and executing business plans.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, as well as cultural awareness.
- Create and foster a culture of excellence and effectiveness throughout the organization.
- Develop and maintain a robust and vibrant relationship with the European headquarters.
- Advise and partner with the US and European management teams.
- Build relationships with Customers, Suppliers, Partners, Banks, and Auditors.
- Develop and execute the company s financial strategy in North America.
- Finance and Accounting:
- Plan and budget in a dynamic accounting department, including bookkeeping, accounting, and all tax functions.
- Implement and manage a monthly reporting system, including financial performance and budgets throughout the organization.
- Manage all areas of taxation, including current and future components.
- US GAAP, IFRS
- Human Resources (HR):
- Develop and implement the HR strategy.
- Oversee HR administration, compensation and benefits plans.
- Organization-wide development program.
- Employer Branding
- Work with legal to understand applicable Labor Law as it impacts all areas of the organization.
- Information Technology (IT):
- Help to develop Service Desk capability with 1st level support.
- Create an infrastructure roadmap for both headquarters and remote locations.
- Develop plans for required hardware and software, as well as maintenance and replacement scheduling.
- Manage the platform to ensure data privacy and data security of all information throughout the organization.
- Lead the implementation of an ERP/MRP system.
- Legal:
- Contracts and Compliance
- Where applicable, compliance with all rules and regulations as required in local, state and across the entire USA.
- Manage the contract review process on behalf of or with CEO, COO and legal.
- Maintain insurance levels for all areas of the operation, including but not limited to liability and personnel.
- Keep current on labor laws with 100% compliance.
Location: The company will likely have multiple service locations in the USA; however, the headquarters will be in Charlotte, North Carolina. This position is onsite.
Reports to: This position will report directly to the Chief Executive Officer USA and/or the Chief Operations Officer USA, with dual reporting responsibilities to the European Corporate Leadership.
Compensation: The yearly salary is $200-250K/year, depending upon experience.
