Duties Include:

• Conduct health screenings during sick call using approved standing orders or making appropriate MD
  
• Administer and document medication as ordered by the physician in the correctional
  
• Document all health care rendered on the medical
  
• Assist Physician as
  
• Transcribe all MD orders from medical
  
• Transfer medical records with appropriate documentation and medication at time of inmate
  
• Perform clinical treatments & procedures using universal
  
• Maintain 40 hours of in-service education per year to include all mandatory in-services and CPR
  
• Provide emergency treatment to inmates and
  
• Participate in employee health issues as directed, , TB screening, Hepatitis B injections, flu injections, and post exposure
  
• Collaborate with other correctional professionals to assure social, psychological, and security needs of the inmate are
  
• Assist in planning and coordination of nursing services required to meet the total health care needs of the patients in a 24 hour/7-day week medical
  
• Collect and process lab specimens for transport to
  
• Participates in inmate health

  Majority of the institutions operate on the following shifts (hours may vary):
  6:00am - 7:00pm
  6:00pm - 7:00am
