This is a remote position.

Contract - Data Business Analyst

Salary: Up to £450 a day depending on experience

Location: Remote (Mon - Fri) with occasional travel 1-2 days per month in the London Office

Duration: 6 month contract (Outside IR35)

Project overview

Working with the established credit and risk team on this exciting inflight Data Governance Project to help our client understand their current status and identify improvements to enable delivery of improved services and reduce waste.



Summary of the role and main accountabilities

Our client requires a strong Data Business Analyst, complimented with Business Analysis skills who is confident with handling and analysing large and complex data sets. Who bridges the gap between technology and business teams to ensure a great outcome.


As the Data Business Analyst you ll create user stories to define the business requirements. You ll have super stakeholder engagement skills to coach and guide the business/programme teams to ensure the TOM is defined and integrated across processes and aligned with the future end state vision


Your Analysis, excellent communication and business transformation skills will be key to ensure the business adopt these new ways of working whilst closely engaging with our client s senior leaders.


You ll also create exciting training material for end users and deliver this training with style.



Deliverables
  • Works as part of the existing Credit Risk team and takes time to understand inflight project progress, BAU Change colleagues and status to prioritise effort and support in the best way possible
  • Familiarity with CRR/PRA IRB and Data Requirements
  • Strong SAS/SQL experience, i.e. working with large datasets, merging, data manipulation, report producing, automation of reports
  • Experience of implementing and developing Data Quality Reports for data including but not limited to Credit & Risk
  • Strong communication & stakeholder engagement skills
  • Building reconciliation controls between systems
  • Produces Jira epics and user/feature stories, defining the business objectives that form the backlog of tasks to be done based on customer/colleague needs/journeys.
  • Defines and delivers against requirements to meet multiple stakeholders needs
  • Works with business teams and subject matter experts to determine what good looks like and build their knowledge and understanding
  • Asks the right questions of the right people to define requirements, achieve testing, entry/exit criteria and ensure business readiness
  • Works with business/programme teams to ensure the TOM is defined and integrated across processes and aligned with the future end state vision
  • Designs and delivers training and communications to ensure customer and colleague readiness
  • Facilitates workshops/discussions to design processes, understand scope, requirements and solve design issues
  • Works with business teams to define new processes to deliver improved services and reduce waste
  • Uses process hierarchy to adopt a structured approach to appropriate process definition and to achieve optimum business architecture and design
  • Bridges the gap between technology and business teams to ensure a great outcome
  • Supplies key life cycle artefacts in line with methodology/requirements
  • Supports testing, implementation, and warranty to ensure successful transition


Requirements



Project Partners are looking for a good all-round Data Business Analyst who also has the Business Analysis skills that has been there seen it and delivered it! Someone who has worked on a variety of projects where they have led from start to finish in a range of organisations and sectors, ideally Financial Services. Someone who exudes confidence without arrogance, who can articulate issues and looks for solutions, who is able to adapt to different organisational cultures and client bases and someone the client can instantly have confidence in.

Essential Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience of successfully managing credit, risk and compliance change in range of Financial Services organisations including Data migration, process re-design and MI regulatory reporting
  • Experience in data and risk modelling
  • Familiarity and experience with IRB, CRR/PRA
  • Defining Target Operating Models
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MSP
  • Jira
  • SAS / SQL
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Professional discretion with friendly approach
  • Strong commercial acumen and scope management
  • Excellent conflict management skills and approach
  • Supreme stakeholder manager with strong influencing and decision-making skills

Desirable Skills and Experience:
  • Experience of both agile and waterfall methodologies
  • Worked for a variety of organisations
