- Working with IT to develop and implement new technologies that can improve the efficiency of business processes
- Developing and implementing strategic plans for an organization’s growth, including long term objectives, short term goals, and specific tactics for reaching those goals
- Monitoring market trends to identify opportunities for growth in new markets or new ways of doing business
- Developing marketing strategies to promote products or services offered by an organization
- Analyzing data to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies
- Coordinating with other departments within an organization to ensure that goals are met
- Conducting research to identify industry trends that may affect the organization’s long term viability
- Developing and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors to secure product availability at competitive prices
- Developing and managing budgets to ensure that projects are completed within specified time frames and within allocated resources
