Staff Nurse - Dermatology

• Assisting dermatologists with the diagnosis and treatment of skin conditions
• Performing skin examinations, evaluating patient’s condition, and recording patient’s medical history & laboratory results
• Providing pre and post-operative care for patients undergoing treatment for a variety of skin conditions and diseases
• Assisting with procedures using specialized medical equipment, including cosmetic dermatology
• Performing wound care by applying knowledge of different types of dressings, topical medications and wound care routines; conducting research to stay up-to-date on new procedures and protocols
• Gained knowledge on treatment of acne, specific acne medications and their risks, and alternative topical medications
• Assessing skin aging or other skin-related health problems
• Establishes a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients, friends and families.
• Monitoring and administered medications and intravenous infusions
• Taking patient’s samples and vital signs such as pulse, respiration, temperature and blood pressure.
• Maintain complete and accurate patient records
