Chargehand

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chargehand to join our team in Dubai United Arab Emirates. As a Chargehand you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating daily operations ensuring efficiency safety and quality standards are met.

• Supervise and lead a team of workers providing guidance and support to achieve project goals
• Oversee job site activities ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company protocols
• Coordinate and allocate tasks to team members optimizing workflow and productivity
• Conduct regular safety meetings and toolbox talks to maintain a safe working environment
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications
• Resolve on-site issues and conflicts promptly and effectively
• Maintain accurate records of work performed materials used and team performance
• Collaborate with other departments and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution
• Perform hands-on work as needed demonstrating a willingness to lead by example
• Ensure proper maintenance use and storage of tools and equipment
• Provide regular progress reports to management and suggest improvements for efficiency

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a Chargehand or in a similar supervisory role
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations and industry-specific standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in using relevant tools and equipment
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Physical stamina to perform hands-on work when required
• Valid drivers license (may be required depending on specific job duties)
• Familiarity with project management techniques and scheduling
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
• Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if needed
