A little taste of your day-to-day

Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:

• Supervises the receiving and storage of kitchen goods
• Supervises the handling of kitchen linen
• During the shift, oversees the preparation of kitchen equipment for use
• Responsible for supervising the stewarding operation during shift and for cleaning and maintaining food and beverage premises to high hygienic standards
• Supervises the cleaning and storage of kitchen equipment
• Adhere to local regulations concerning health, safety, or other compliance requirements, as well as brand standards and local policies and procedures
• Supervises the cleaning of a hygienic kitchen
• In absence of Chief Steward conducts shift briefings to ensure hotel activities and operational requirements are known
• Supervises all functions of the Stewarding operation to achieve the optimum departmental costs
• Supervises the removal of waste
• Maintains high levels of personal hygiene for self and enforces hygiene standards for team
• Supervises the cleaning of the premises
• Taking on ad-hoc duties to keep the service running smoothly
  

What We Need From You

• One year of experience as a Stewarding Supervisor preferably in a 4 or 5 star hotel or similar.
• The strength to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg) which can also involve bending and kneeling.
• Knowledge of food and beverage service operation is preferred.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• The flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
