Data Analyst - REMOTE

Requirements

Jackson Family Wines needs an experienced data analyst that can help them initiate and run their BI projects. This person will work with the business to gather requirements, create technical specs for BI report, find and document data sources, document metric logic, pass requirements to the BI developers, and coordinate testing and roll- outs. This role will be essential in coordinating the different activities and phases of the BI projects. You will not build reports because we have BI developers, but we need someone that understand what they do to put proper requirements together. They will be expected to juggle many reports at the same time to keep the developers busy with building and delivering reports.

What You’ll Be Working On

Experience/Skills Needed:

• Data Warehousing knowledge
• SQL
• Data Modeling
• KPI creation
• BI Tool knowledge, such as Tableau, Power BI, MicroStrategy
• Ability to translate abstract ideas into tactical work
• Project Management experience
• Wine industry knowledge is a plus!

• Power BI
• Azure
• On-Prem SQL Server
• SSMS
  

The ideal candidate:

• The ideal candidate should be comfortable leading meetings, and talking directly to customers. They should be articulate to communicate clearly. Our team is very calm and respectful and we would expect the same from anyone joining the team. We work 100% remote, so being comfortable working over Team is mandatory.
  

Other details:

• 100% Remote, but an office can be provided if you are near Santa Rosa, CA
• Must overlap at least 6 hours of Pacific Standard Time
• This is a 2 month contract with the possibility to extend
• Expected to work between 30-40 hours a week
• Would like to start March 1, 2024
