You will be updated with latest job alerts via email3.1. Provides consultations, examinations, and treatments including procedures with a full range of agents, methods, and techniques, observing quality and safety standards.
3.2. Provides technical advice and guidance to colleagues and nursing staff as part of orientation or training in new techniques and procedures.
3.3. Conducts rounds of inpatients under care to assess patient’s condition and treatment progress; develop treatment care plans; order treatment regimens; establish rapport with the
patient and relatives; and answer patient’s queries.
3.4. Sees patients preoperatively to evaluate patient’s condition and suitability prior to any
procedures.
3.5. Examines the patient post-operatively to assess complications, order further treatment or
referral to another specialty as indicated.
3.6. Participates in the T.Q.M. programs in collaboration with T.Q.M. Department. Must be
an active member of hospital-wide committees like the Code Blue Committee in a position designated or elected by committee members.
3.7. Provides continuing education, training, and demonstration by sharing new procedures and techniques to colleagues, nurses, and technicians assigned within the department in
collaboration with Academic Affairs and Research Center.
3.8. Attends to work and on-call schedules on time and performs duties completely before
ending the shift.
3.8.1. Endorses to the next shift any uncompleted task to be continued and/or completed.
3.8.2. Responses to emergencies in the hospital without delay during on-call duty.
3.9. Attends to scheduled or unscheduled meetings to discuss and resolve problems.
3.10. Assists the Chief Cardiologist as required like assuming administrative responsibility in the
absence of the Chief or looking after his patients as requested.
3.11. Performs other duties necessary to effect efficient services in the department without
Education:
4.1.1.Essential:
4.1.1.1. MBBS or MBBCH (or its equivalent from country of origin) plus one (1)year Internship
4.1.1.2. Msc followed by M.D. or board or equivalent in the specialty.
4.1.2. In the case of a sub-specialty, the candidate should have appropriate training in this sub-specialty for at least one (1) year in a reputable health institution.
4.2. Experience:
4.2.1.Minimum 5 years’ experience as Consultant after qualification
4.2.2. At least five (5) published papers in reputable local or international journals in his/her specialty.
