Sunshine Academy is looking for an experienced and dedicated School-Age Teacher. The School-Age Teacher with BSAC is responsible for creating and implementing developmentally appropriate programs for children between 5 and 12 years old. The teacher will plan and implement engaging activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.

The School Age Teacher with BSAC may work in various settings, including child care
centers, schools, or community centers. The teacher may work indoors and outdoors and
must be able to stand, sit, and move around for extended periods. The teacher
must also be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. The teacher may work during early
morning and late afternoon hours.
Salary:
A school age teacher with BSAC can expect to earn between $12 and $15 per
hour.

- Plan and implement daily activities that align with the program's goals, philosophy, and policies.
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
- Develop positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
- Provide supervision and guidance to children during outdoor and indoor playtime.
- Maintained accurate attendance and recordkeeping.
- Communicate with families regarding children's progress and program updates.
- Follow all health and safety protocols and procedures.
- Attend all required staff meetings, trainings, and professional development
- opportunities.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom and program space.
- Adhere to all state and federal laws, regulations, and guidelines for before
- and after school care programs.
Qualifications:
- Associates in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience working with school-age children in a licensed child care program.
- Familiarity with school-age children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Knowledge of before and after school care regulations and guidelines.
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and colleagues.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must pass a criminal background check and obtain necessary clearances.
