Job Description
We are looking for a Chief Accountant to join our hospitality team in Al Ain, United Arab Emirates.
The Chief Accountant will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, including budgeting, financial analysis, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Chief Accountant will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations of the company, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and general ledger.
Prepare financial statements, reports, and analysis.
Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
Develop and implement internal controls and procedures.
Coordinate and manage the annual audit process.
Monitor cash flows and develop strategies to maximize cash management.
Manage the budgeting process and ensure accuracy of financial forecasts.
Develop and maintain relationships with banks and other financial institutions.
Monitor and analyze financial performance of the company.
Provide guidance and support to the accounting team.
Identify and implement process improvements.
Qualifications
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Additional professional certification is highly desirable.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role preferably in hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of local and international accounting standards.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in the use of accounting software.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
