Restaurant Hostess (Arabic Speaker)

The Restaurant Hostess is the first point of contact for guests and plays a key role in creating a welcoming and professional dining experience. This role requires fluency in Arabic to assist and communicate effectively with Arabic-speaking guests manage reservations and coordinate smooth seating arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests warmly upon arrival.
• Manage the reservation system including booking confirming and updating reservations.
• Organize seating arrangements to ensure smooth guest flow and service efficiency.
• Communicate wait times to guests and manage expectations during busy periods.
• Escort guests to tables and provide menus including sharing information about specials and restaurant offerings.
• Handle guest inquiries and requests professionally particularly for Arabic-speaking guests.
• Coordinate with the service team to ensure tables are prepared and ready for guests.
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and presentation of the host stand lobby and dining area.
• Support guest feedback collection and communicate issues to the Restaurant Manager.
• Uphold professional grooming and appearance in line with hotel standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned to support restaurant operations.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality training preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role preferably in a hotel or upscale restaurant.
• Fluency in Arabic and English (speaking and writing); additional languages are a plus.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Professional friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm in busy periods.
• Familiarity with reservation systems is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work shifts weekends and public holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for long periods and walk guests to tables.
• Comfortable moving around the restaurant as required.
