We are seeking an experienced Water Network Planning Engineer within the utilities sector. The role focuses on ensuring the efficient reliable and sustainable delivery of water services through effective planning simulation and long-term infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize the water distribution network to meet current and future demand.
Lead the preparation of master plans feasibility studies and hydraulic simulations for new and existing networks.
Conduct network modeling using tools such as EPANET WaterGEMS or InfoWorks to assess and enhance system performance.
Support the implementation of asset management strategies to improve network reliability and longevity.
Utilize AMI and network operations data for performance optimization and proactive planning.
Collaborate with internal teams on rehabilitation plans project coordination and long-term capacity forecasting.
Requirements
To be considered for this role you need to meet the following criteria:
Bachelors degree in Civil Environmental or Mechanical Engineering (Masters degree preferred).
48 years of experience in water network planning asset management or hydraulic modeling.
Strong technical knowledge of water distribution systems hydraulic principles and infrastructure design.
Proficiency in network simulation tools and exposure to AMI/SCADA applications in water systems.
Excellent communication data analysis and problem-solving skills.
