Job Description
Stantec is currently looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic site team and support on a construction supervision project in Dubai.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electrical systems for various projects including street lighting power cables substations telecom
- Conduct site visits and inspections to gather information and assess project requirements
- Prepare technical drawings specifications and cost estimates for electrical systems
- Collaborate with architects engineers and other project team members to ensure coordinated and integrated design solutions
- Review and approve contractor submittals shop drawings and other project documentation
- Conduct electrical calculations and analysis to ensure compliance with codes and standards
- Monitor project progress and provide technical support during construction and commissioning phases
- Perform quality control checks to ensure design and construction meet project requirements
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends advancements and best practices in electrical engineering
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical engineering design and project management
- Strong technical background
- Excellent knowledge of Electrical systems products and materials
- Excellent knowledge of applicable Electrical design and construction codes
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent command of Microsoft Office business solutions (Excel Word)
- Ability to review and comment properly on necessary documentation
- Excellent understanding of specifications and Authority requirements
- Complete project understanding in a given discipline from start to hand-over.
- MUST HAVE experience in Street lighting power cables substations telecom
- DEWA/EWE/RTA approval (MUST)
- MUST HAVE experience working with supervision consultants
- MUST HAVE full and complete knowledge of existing infrastructure networks in the emirates of Dubai
- Valid drivers license (Preferred)
