Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Math Teacher to teach students in Grades 5 to 9 for one of our reputed school in A. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering highquality lessons that focus on developing students mathematical skills and problemsolving abilities. This role requires strong teaching methods effective classroom management and the ability to inspire students to appreciate mathematics and its realworld applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and Delivery:
- Plan and deliver engaging ageappropriate lessons that align with the curriculum and the needs of students in Grades 5 to 9.
- Teach a variety of mathematical topics such as arithmetic algebra geometry statistics and precalculus based on the grade level.
- Use a variety of teaching methods (visual aids digital tools handson activities) to make lessons interesting and accessible to all learners.
- Plan and deliver engaging ageappropriate lessons that align with the curriculum and the needs of students in Grades 5 to 9.
Classroom Management:
- Establish and maintain a productive classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
- Manage classroom behavior ensuring students stay on task and behave respectfully.
- Encourage students to engage in critical thinking collaboration and inquiry during lessons.

Student Development:
- Monitor students academic progress and provide individualized support when needed.
- Identify areas where students may need extra help and provide targeted intervention.
- Foster a growth mindset in students encouraging perseverance confidence and a positive attitude toward math.

Assessment and Reporting:
- Assess students understanding of mathematical concepts through tests quizzes assignments and projects.
- Maintain accurate and uptodate records of student progress and achievement.
- Provide constructive feedback to students parents and guardians on performance and areas for improvement.

ExtraCurricular Activities:
- Participate in schoolwide activities such as math competitions afterschool study groups and other mathrelated events.
- Help organize and support mathfocused initiatives promoting enthusiasm for the subject outside of regular lessons.

Collaboration with Colleagues:
- Work closely with other teachers administrators and staff to support the academic growth of students.
- Contribute to the development and improvement of the math curriculum ensuring it meets educational standards and student needs.

Professional Development:
- Continuously update teaching methods resources and knowledge of the subject to stay current with changes in the curriculum and teaching practices.
- Attend school meetings workshops and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.

Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor s degree in Mathematics Education or a related field.
- Experience: Previous teaching experience (Grade 5 to 9) is preferred.
Eligibility Criteria:
- QFE 7 (Bachelor s Degree) in Education Examples for Math Teacher: BEd (Education) BSc (Science Education) Valid teaching license in the subject OR QFE 6 (Diploma) in the subject OR 1 year of teaching experience in the subject
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of mathematics at the middle school level (Grade 59).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage students and collaborate with colleagues.
- Ability to make complex mathematical concepts accessible and engaging for students.
- Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
- Strong knowledge of mathematics at the middle school level (Grade 59).
- Certifications (Preferred):
- Teaching certification (e.g. PGCE B.Ed.) is desirable.
- Additional certifications in mathematics or teachingrelated fields are a plus.
