Job description

Position Summary:

Looking for Admin Assistant Customs. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills the ability to prioritize tasks and a proactive approach to problemsolving. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth office operations and supporting skillbased excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tracks all incoming shipments including but not limited to internet shipping websites.
  • Processes all shipping documents.
  • Liaises with shipping agents to verify the arrival date of shipments.
  • Books shipments for all imports.
  • Prepares payment vouchers as required including but not limited to for transport and to assist Customs Clerks with payment of handling charges storage rent and freight charges.
  • Updates on the daily clearance of shipments and expected delivery times.
  • Forwards all cold chain reports monitors and recordings to suppliers.
  • Ensures daily tracking and recording of all shipments and containers.
  • Ensures uptodate record keeping for customs

Key Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 03 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in Customs
  • Knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS PowerPoint in particular).

Additional Details:

Job Location: Umm Al Quwain Free Trade Zone Authority

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Duration: 3 Years

Working Hours: 8 Hours / Day (5 Days work per Week)

Salary: 3500 AED
