Roles and responsibilities
- Experience in teaching information technology courses and, in particular, courses relating to security, network security, and ethical Hacking. The candidate is also expected to teach other IT courses such as User Interface Design, Operating Systems, Software Engineering, Multimedia Technology, Web Technologies, Databases, Data Structures, and Programming.
- The candidate must have a strong research background.
- Only candidates who hold a Ph.D. in Computer Science or Information Technology field will be considered.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
The selected applicant will be expected to:
- Develop and teach undergraduate in Information Technology and Computer Science
- Engage in innovative and technology-based approaches to learning and teaching
- Publish high-quality research in leading internationally recognized journals
- Participate in committees at the departmental, college, and/or university levels as assigned
- Actively engage in promoting the growth of the Ajman University
- Evaluate and monitor individual student progress and provide feedback to sustain student success
- Ability to provide consultancy services to researchers and the business community.
- Ensure a respectful and culturally sensitive learning environment in all college-focused activities
- Establish and maintain effective work relationships across the organization and community Motivate and inspire confidence in others (students and colleagues) to overcome limitations to personal growth and success.
- Actively seek out methods, procedures, and resources to best achieve course and lesson objectives

Desired candidate profile
- Technical Proficiency: Expertise in a broad range of IT topics, including software development, networking, cybersecurity, data analytics, cloud computing, and database management. Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++), and familiarity with IT tools and technologies (e.g., Linux, Docker, AWS).
- Research Skills: Ability to design and conduct research in IT, including experience with research methodologies, data collection, analysis, and publishing findings.
- Teaching Ability: Strong communication and instructional skills, with the ability to explain complex IT concepts in ways that students can understand. The ability to engage and motivate students while fostering critical thinking and problem-solving.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot technical issues, develop solutions to real-world IT challenges, and assist students with their projects, assignments, and research.
- Project Management: Experience with project management frameworks and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum) and the ability to guide students through large, complex projects, both individually and in teams.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, industry professionals, and students. Leading or participating in interdisciplinary research and team-based projects.
- Adaptability: Comfort with evolving technology and the ability to adapt teaching methods, research areas, and tools as the IT field advances.
