We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Inventory Clerk to become a valuable addition to our #esteemed Retail Hypermarket client. An inventory clerk plays a crucial role in ensuring that records of goods and materials are accurately maintained which is vital for the smooth operation of a warehouse or retail environment. This position requires diligent monitoring of inventory levels conducting regular audits and effectively communicating inventory requirements to the appropriate departments. Responsibilities:
Conducting daily inventory checks and reconciling inventory discrepancies.
Maintaining accurate inventory records and updating inventory management software or systems. Monitoring inventory levels and replenishing stock as necessary.
Identifying slowmoving or obsolete inventory and making recommendations for disposal or clearance. Coordinating with other departments to ensure the timely receipt and delivery of goods.
Preparing inventory reports for management including stock levels ordering trends
and financial summaries.
Conducting physical inventory counts and audits to ensure that inventory levels are accurate.
Identifying and resolving any inventoryrelated issues or discrepancies before they become problems. Assisting with the preparation of budgets and forecasts for inventory levels and costs.
Ensuring that inventory storage areas are clean organized and secure.
Enter and update information about stock levels product arrivals and product
categories into the supermarkets
inventory management system.
Track and record inventory discrepancies and adjustments. Assist with regular stock audits and reconciliation processes.
Enter and maintain detailed product information including prices descriptions and promotions. Update records for new product launches and discontinuations.
Process and track purchase orders from suppliers.
Update data related to order statuses including shipment tracking and delivery confirmations. Process internal transfer in/out in inventory management system
Generate reports related to inventory sales and other key metrics.
Prepare and maintain documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
Review and verify the accuracy of data entered into systems.
Correct errors and discrepancies as needed.
Assist with troubleshooting and resolving data entry system issues.
Participate in system upgrades and provide feedback on data management tools.
Work with other departments (e.g. purchasing sales and finance) to
ensure data accuracy and support operational needs.
Provide datarelated support for management and staff as required.
Requirements
Bachelor Degree or equivalent; additional education in inventory management is a plus.
Strong organizational and time management skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in recordkeeping
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Proficiency in inventory management software or systems
Basic math skills and the ability to perform calculations using computer programs
Good communication skills for coordinating with other departments and vendors
Ability to lift and move heavy objects as well as to stand or walk for long periods of time.
Flexibility to work occasional overtime or weekends
Prior experience in inventory management logistics or a related field may be preferred
