Job Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and qualified Science Teacher to join a reputable educational institution in Al Ain UAE. The ideal candidate will have the expertise to teach science disciplines: Biology Chemistry Physics to grades 6 to grades 9 inspiring students to appreciate and excel in the field of science. Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
- Bachelor s degree in Science Education or a related field (e.g. Biology Chemistry Physics).
- A recognized teaching qualification / certification / Teaching Diploma (e.g. PGCE QTS or equivalent).
- ADEK Appointment letter is preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching Grade 6 to Grade 9 students in school settings.
- Experience teaching all science subject(s).
- Previous experience teaching in the UAE or GCC region is a plus.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of science curriculum and educational standards.
- Proficiency in using digital tools for teaching (e.g. interactive whiteboards online learning platforms).
- Ability to foster student engagement and enthusiasm for learning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Planning and Instruction:
- Plan prepare and deliver engaging science lessons that align with the school curriculum.
- Teach science subject e.g. Biology Chemistry Physics to grade 6 to grade 9 students.
- Incorporate interactive and innovative teaching methods such as practical experiments group discussions and technologyenhanced learning tools.
Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
- Regularly assess and track student performance through assignments quizzes projects and exams.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students identifying areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and conduct parentteacher meetings as required.
Classroom Management:
- Foster a positive and respectful classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Enforce school policies regarding behaviour management ensuring students follow classroom rules and guidelines.
- Create a safe and engaging space for practical and theoretical learning.
Curriculum Development and Innovation:
- Collaborate with fellow science teachers to contribute to curriculum development and improvements.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in science education to incorporate into lesson planning.
Student Support:
- Offer additional support to students who need help understanding challenging concepts.
- Encourage student participation in sciencerelated extracurricular activities such as science clubs fairs and competitions.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work effectively with other teaching staff to ensure the smooth delivery of lessons.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child s academic performance and behaviour.
- Participate in staff meetings professional development and school events.
