Desired candidate profile
1. BIM Implementation and Coordination
- BIM Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the BIM execution plan (BEP) for the project, ensuring the proper use of BIM tools and workflows across the design, construction, and operations teams.
- Coordinate BIM Deliverables: Ensure the integration and coordination of BIM deliverables from all disciplines (architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.), ensuring models are accurate, up-to-date, and meet project requirements.
- Collaboration Across Teams: Facilitate collaboration between the various project teams (designers, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors) to ensure that BIM is effectively used and data is shared seamlessly.
2. BIM Model Management
- Model Integration: Oversee the integration of various discipline-specific models into a federated model, ensuring all models work together and are compatible.
- Model Quality Control: Perform quality control checks on models to ensure they adhere to BIM standards, project-specific requirements, and best practices for model consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
- Data Management: Manage BIM data, ensuring it is organized, accessible, and accurately updated. Ensure the use of version control and appropriate data management protocols.
3. Technical Support and Problem Solving
- BIM Software Support: Provide technical support to team members for BIM-related software and tools (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, AutoCAD, BIM 360), troubleshooting any issues and ensuring efficient use of the platform.
- Problem-Solving: Resolve any conflicts or issues related to BIM models, such as clashes between different systems or design elements. Lead the coordination and resolution of clashes using tools like Navisworks or Solibri.
- Workflow Optimization: Continuously assess and improve BIM workflows, tools, and processes, ensuring that the project teams are using BIM in the most effective and efficient way.
4. Collaboration and Communication
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the main point of contact for BIM-related issues, communicating with both internal teams (e.g., architects, engineers) and external stakeholders (e.g., contractors, clients, consultants).
- Client Coordination: Communicate with clients and stakeholders to ensure their requirements are met and that the project is proceeding according to BIM standards and expectations.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Provide training to internal staff and contractors on BIM tools, processes, and best practices. Help to establish and maintain a knowledge-sharing culture within the team.
