Roles and responsibilities
The Financial Services Consulting team provides a full range of services to our Banking & Financial Services clients, including Strategy and Revenue Growth (Entry strategy, Product portfolio analysis, Business plan development and Optimization of revenue generation), Operational excellence (Organization restructuring, Corporate governance development, Organisation transformation, Performance Management, Outsourcing & Shared Services strategies and Cost optimisation), Risk consulting (Risk appetite definition, Risk framework development, Risk reviews and alignment), Technology enablement (System selections, Implementation program management) and Analytics.
We are a growing team and looking for dynamic, flexible, proactive and hardworking experienced consultants who have a passion for shaping financial services positively in the GCC over the coming years. We have a strong pipeline of large, transformational opportunities with our clients which will provide great opportunities for all our people to step up and play significant and rewarding roles.
Requirements
- Regulatory expert with background in Regulatory Compliance for Banks
- 8-10 years of experience, preferably with a mix of banking and external Consulting sector expertise
- Experience with regional banks in the Middle East is preferable
- SME in latest regulations for banks (i.e. Basel IV)
- Experience in SupTech (Supervisory Technology)

- Helping organizations establish a comprehensive risk management framework to identify, assess, and mitigate risks at all levels of the business.
- This often involves creating risk registers, developing risk tolerance levels, and setting up monitoring systems.

- Focuses on managing financial risks, such as market, credit, liquidity, and operational risks.
- Consultants help businesses implement tools and practices for forecasting, budgeting, and hedging to minimize exposure to financial losses.

Operational Risk Management
- Ensures that operational processes (e.g., supply chain, IT systems, and employee practices) are optimized to prevent or mitigate disruptions.
- This includes identifying potential process inefficiencies, fraud risks, and system failures.

Regulatory & Compliance Risk
- Assisting clients in understanding and complying with industry regulations and laws (e.g., GDPR, SOX, Dodd-Frank, or HIPAA).
- Risk consultants help organizations avoid fines, legal penalties, and reputational damage by ensuring compliance and building effective internal controls.

Cybersecurity & Information Risk Management
- Assessing and managing the risk associated with cyber threats and data breaches.
- Risk consultants advise on strengthening IT security, protecting sensitive information, and ensuring data privacy.

Strategic Risk Management
- Identifying risks that may impact the strategic objectives of a business, such as market competition, mergers, acquisitions, or technological shifts.
- Risk consultants help businesses navigate uncertainty when it comes to their long-term strategies, guiding them in making informed decisions.

Crisis Management and Business Continuity Planning
- Preparing organizations for crises (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, or public relations crises) by developing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
- Risk consultants provide frameworks to help companies recover quickly and effectively in case of disruption.
