Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a renowned university in the UAE. We are seeking an experienced Editor/Translator who will be responsible for translating academic documents marketing materials and other content between English and Arabic while ensuring accuracy cultural sensitivity and consistency. The role also includes editing content to ensure it meets the university s standards for clarity tone and style.
Responsibilities
Translate academic administrative and promotional documents between English and Arabic.
Edit and proofread documents for grammar style and accuracy in both languages.
Ensure translated materials reflect the original meaning and are culturally appropriate.
Collaborate with faculty staff and departments to ensure consistent messaging and terminology.
Maintain a glossary of standardized terminology for the university.
Assist in drafting original content as needed for university publications reports and communications.
Requirements
Bachelor s degree in Translation Linguistics or a related field.
35 years of experience in translation and editing preferably in an academic or educational setting.
Proficiency in both written and spoken English and Arabic.
Familiarity with academic and administrative terminology.
Exceptional language grammar and editing skills in English and Arabic.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Ability to maintain consistency in tone and terminology across different documents.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably within a university or educational institution. - Strong knowledge of university financial policies and procedures. - Proficiency in account balancing, reconciling, and maintaining financial accounts. - Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles, methods, and applications. - Ability to interpret financial data, prepare financial reports, and perform financial projections. - Experience in budgeting, cost control, and computerized financial systems. - Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial software for preparing reports and projections. - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
