Head of Kindergarten

• Responsible for the overall coordination and management of the kindergarten section activities and ensuring all the programs are running smoothly, efficiently, and effectively daily.
• Make sure all children are provided with adequate support for growth and development through guidance, counseling, and relevant training.
• Maintain an effective communication system between the students and parents.
• Make sure the learning facilities are clean, hygienic, and safe for learning.
• Monitor teachers and ensure proper coverage of the syllabus throughout the year.
• Determine annual objectives for the instructional and extracurricular programs.
• Preserve academic and other school records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent. Post Graduate Degree highly desired.
• Minimum 10 years teaching Early years/KG in a reputed school. Minimum 5 years in a senior leadership role with a proven track record.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience teaching within the PYP framework, in Kindergarten.
• Excellent knowledge of the kindergarten and lower primary curriculum content. Possess knowledge of current trends and research in early childhood education and the PYP.
• Excellent leadership skills required.
• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, , including the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues (within the department and across phases) and families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Outstanding coaching and mentoring skills for new teachers.
