Job Description
- Develop and curate the beverage menu, including wines, cocktails, spirits, and non-alcoholic options, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s brand and guest preferences
- Select and source high-quality beverages, often working closely with suppliers and distributors.
- Design and implement seasonal or themed beverage menus to enhance guest experience.
- Manage the beverage department’s budget, including cost control, pricing strategies, and inventory management.
- Analyse sales and profitability of the beverage program, making adjustments as needed to meet financial goals.
- Monitor and maintain adequate inventory levels, ensuring stock rotation and minimizing waste.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and manage ordering processes to ensure a consistent supply of beverages.
- Collaborate with the events and catering teams to create customized beverage offerings for special events, weddings, and corporate functions.
- Oversee the execution of beverage service during events, ensuring smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Stay updated on the latest industry trends and incorporate innovative beverage concepts to keep the hotel’s offerings fresh and exciting.
- Train and mentor the bar team, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the offerings, preparation techniques, and service standards.
- Conduct regular training sessions on beverage pairings, cocktail preparation, and customer service.
