Performs training and educational needs assessments for individual classrooms, as appropriate to the objectives of the program.
Designs, develops, and delivers training programs and workshops to educators and other interdisciplinary professionals working within the New Mexico Public School system in support of high quality outcomes for New Mexico students.
Provides independent technical advice, consultation, and individualized assistance to educators and other interdisciplinary professionals within area of professional specialty utilizing current best practices.
Assesses local and state educational resources within area of professional expertise, and designs and develops special programs for resources development as appropriate.
Develops and produces evidenced based special education literature and information packages for dissemination to educational programs and constituencies, in accordance with need.
Participates in committees and advisory boards, and contributes to the development of policies and program initiatives related to statewide education outcomes for students within area of professional specialty.
May supervise personnel, which may include recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
May serve as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
