Job Description
- Performs training and educational needs assessments for individual classrooms, as appropriate to the objectives of the program.
- Designs, develops, and delivers training programs and workshops to educators and other interdisciplinary professionals working within the New Mexico Public School system in support of high quality outcomes for New Mexico students.
- Provides independent technical advice, consultation, and individualized assistance to educators and other interdisciplinary professionals within area of professional specialty utilizing current best practices.
- Assesses local and state educational resources within area of professional expertise, and designs and develops special programs for resources development as appropriate.
- Develops and produces evidenced based special education literature and information packages for dissemination to educational programs and constituencies, in accordance with need.
- Participates in committees and advisory boards, and contributes to the development of policies and program initiatives related to statewide education outcomes for students within area of professional specialty.
- May supervise personnel, which may include recommendations for hiring, firing, performance evaluation, training, work allocation, and problem resolution.
- May serve as Campus Security Authority as outlined by the Clery Act.
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
