The British Council Jordan has been operating in Jordan for more than 70 years. The Jordan Directorate is a mixed economy operation with a very active Teaching Center, Exams operations, as well as Projects, and business support operations. British Council Jordan also implements a range of donor-funded projects that have an offsite presence and/or offices that require IT services, support. This range of operations requires a significant degree of IT support to ensure that these businesses meet their objectives and that we meet customer and stakeholder expectations. Information Technology needs and support ranges from day to day support, troubleshooting, ensuring that digital infrastructure is set up and operating during running of the businesses, liaising with our Global Services Desk to develop and implement IT policies and standards, and to ensure that Information Management policies are implemented, managed are reported on for Jordan. Business administration support functions have undergone a recent restructuring to ensure a more focused level of service to the Jordan office. This post will report to the Business Administration Manager and will work with another IT coordinator to ensure that IT functions are served as per needs of the businesses in Jordan, and in accordance with British Council IT standards.
