Testing Engineer

Test Planning and Design:

1. • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand software requirements and define test objectives and strategies.
     
   • Develop comprehensive test plans test cases and test scenarios based on functional and nonfunctional requirements.
     

2. Test Execution:
   

   • Execute test cases manually and/or using automated testing tools to validate software functionality performance and reliability.
     
   • Conduct regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases and verify fixes for reported defects.
     

3. Defect Management:
   

   • Identify prioritize and report defects using issue tracking systems (e.g. Jira Bugzilla) with clear and detailed descriptions.
     
   • Work closely with development teams to troubleshoot issues perform root cause analysis and verify bug fixes.
     

4. Automation Testing:
   

   • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium WebDriver Cypress.io) to increase test coverage and efficiency.
     
   • Integrate automated tests into the continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline for seamless execution.
     

5. Performance Testing:
   

   • Conduct performance testing using tools such as JMeter LoadRunner or Gatling to assess system responsiveness scalability and reliability under various load conditions.
     

6. Security Testing:
   

   • Perform security testing using tools like OWASP ZAP or Burp Suite to identify and address vulnerabilities in software applications.
     

7. API Testing:
   

   • Validate RESTful APIs and web services using API testing tools (e.g. Postman SoapUI) to ensure data integrity authentication and compliance with specifications.
     

8. Documentation:
   

   • Document test plans test cases test results and defect reports for traceability and compliance purposes.
     
   • Prepare and maintain technical documentation including user guides and release notes.
     

9. Continuous Improvement:
   

   • Stay updated with industry trends best practices and emerging technologies in software testing.
     
   • Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to enhance the overall quality assurance process.
     

Requirements

Technical Skills:

1. Proficiency in software testing methodologies techniques and tools.
   
2. Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
   
3. Experience with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g. Selenium WebDriver Cypress.io).
   
4. Knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Java Python JavaScript) for test automation.
   
5. Familiarity with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
   
6. Understanding of web technologies (e.g. HTML CSS JavaScript) and web application architecture.
   
7. Experience with relational databases and SQL queries.
   
8. Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g. JMeter LoadRunner) and security testing concepts.
   
9. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
