Technical Writer - Software Documentation

Responsibilities:

• Documentation Creation and Management: Develop detailed documentation for our software products including user guides API documentation and online help content. Ensure all documentation is clear accurate and tailored to the audiences needs.

• Regular Updates and Revisions: Regularly review and update existing documentation to reflect software updates new features and feedback from users and technical staff.

• Collaboration with Technical Teams and Product Teams: Work closely with software developers product managers and quality assurance engineers to gather the necessary information for documentation. Participate in product development meetings to understand upcoming changes and features.
• User Feedback Incorporation: Incorporate feedback from users and internal teams into documentation to improve clarity and usability.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or gaps in documentation.
• Documentation Strategy: Contribute to the development of the overall documentation strategy including document management processes and standards for ensuring uptodate and accessible documentation.
• Technical Tools Proficiency: Utilize various tools and software for documentation development management and publishing such as Markdown Git and documentation platforms like Confluence or ReadTheDocs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Technical Communication English Computer Science or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Technical Writer or similar role with a focus on software documentation.
• Excellent English writing and editing skills with attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and translate them into userfriendly language.
• Experience with documentation tools and software including version control systems.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with crossfunctional teams.
• Familiarity with software development processes and the software lifecycle is a plus.
