Job Description


We are looking for our next addition to the GCC Team

The Supply Chain Lead (GCC) oversees and manages the EndtoEnd Supply Chain operation within a cluster of countries. The role has responsibility for ensuring constant business continuity overseeing and managing the whole end to end supply chain.

S&OP process owner within the affiliate leading demand review meetings ensuring consensus forecasts and stocks are following Biogens policies. Responsible for local S&OP KPIs (forecast accuracy and bias) inventory coverage and E&O.

Works closely with the Affiliate Leadership team (GM Marketing Market Access Commercial Finance Quality Assurance Regulatory Affairs Legal) as well as with International Commercial & Planning teams to ensure on time and in full supply. Also leads cross functional projects focused on Logistics & Customer Service process and system improvements/implementations.


Some of the key responsibilities are:

Lead local S&OP process
  • Foster cross functional collaboration throughout the local affiliate (General Management Marketing Market Access Commercial Regulatory Affairs Quality Assurance Legal) and global (Global S&OP Distribution & Logistics) stakeholders.
  • Agree on consensus forecast with stakeholders after analyzing and challenging over and under forecast deviations.
  • Replenish supply and import plan based on aligned forecasts inventory coverage policy and MOQ finding the import optimal quantities/frequencies grace period tracking.
  • Anticipates potential obsolescence risks taking actions to mitigate and avoid risks.
  • Responsible to meet country SC KPIs targets: forecast accuracy forecast bias inventory coverage E&O.

Oversee and manage daily supply chain activities for the GCC/IPM markets.
  • Import coordination with TC & partners in the countries order management customer service shipment management sales administrative activities creation and review of shipping documentation reporting sales/cost analysis.
  • Processing the necessary ERP transactions according to standard operating procedures and Sox compliance guidelines.
  • Perform Financial Month End Reconciliation for his or her markets.
  • Execute and guarantee that processes such as: funds request import invoices control 3PL invoice control POs issuing Credit/Debit memos are done according to procedures and SOXs compliance.

Manage relationship with local distributors/supplies including any logistics related suppliers and customs broker.
  • Review contracts together with local and global stakeholders to ensure distribution supply chain lanes are aligned with the import/export regulations and business needs.
  • Drive cost and system efficiency in working with Logistics Providers/Partners; whilst balancing cost effectiveness quality of the services provided and customer expectations.
  • Analyze cross functional and logistics processes and identify/implement solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of the supply chain and to ensure desired customer service levels are met.

Lead improvement projects focused on Logistics & Customer Service to drive expanded capabilities and improve the efficiency of existing processes
  • Lead process / systems improvement team across departments (Commercial Finance SC Planning S&OP Logistics Quality IT Product Security & Brand Protection Packaging Engineering Sourcing).
  • Host (sub) project team meetings as well as topic specific meetings as required.
  • Ensure that project milestones are defined monitored and that risks are flagged to Management.
  • Drive issue resolution & alignment of activities within the improvement project

Global Trade Compliance
  • Adhere and facilitate application of Biogens global trade compliance policy and country specific standard operating procedures for importing/exporting pre/clinical trial material raw materials and Finished Goods including logistics and customs clearance delivery times.
  • Work daily with local and global management to lead customs brokers to ensure timely and efficient customs clears and resolve any issues that may result on delivery delays.
  • Ensure hard copy records of Biogen import transactions are maintained incountry and under the control of Biogen for the required statutory period required by the country and Biogens records retention policy.
Tender Management Activities
  • Responsible for responding to customers for all Tender/RFQ requests from distributor partnering with local distributors/Sales/Market Access/Finance/RA/Supply for the complete end to end process (Quote to awardation) stage and supporting with improvement and efficiency across the complete cycle.
  • Upon order confirmation checking existing distributor stocks to supply stocks out to hospital optimizing inventory levels to plan replenishments
  • Reconciling price/quantity with commercial & Value/Access.
  • Working with local S&G to achieve all the information from supply side in local repository SharePoint.

Ensure compliance
  • Collaborate with other functional leads with Quality Assurance and Global Trade Compliance to promote and maintain compliance.
  • Establish and execute regional audits to ensure compliance.
Track and maintain changes to regulations to assess impact to business.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 to 8 years work experience in Distribution & Logistics with a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar position in the Biotech/Pharmaceutical industry
  • Deep cross functional knowledge in logistics finance commercial quality and operations/Supply Chain processes and IT interfaces.
  • Proven experience in working cross functionally leveraging their skills to influence and drive results within the matrix organization.
  • Exceptional team player and ability to develop strong network across the company and with external partner.
  • Strong influencing and negotiation skills to attain buy in from different stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated experience reducing complex subjects to key points. Ability to work in fast paced environments and great organizational skills to effectively balance a broad range of projects and tasks in parallel
