Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Steelfixer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for cutting shaping positioning and securing steel reinforcement bars (rebar) and mesh used to reinforce concrete structures. This role is crucial in ensuring the strength durability and integrity of our construction projects.

Requirements

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret working plans and steel lists for the job.
  
• Cut steel bars to the required lengths using bolts shears and other hand or power tools.
  
• Shape steel bars using bending and cutting machines ensuring they fit exactly according to the plans.
  
• Secure steel bars and mesh to concrete forms using fasteners rodbending machines blowtorches and hand tools.
  
• Place spacers and chairs to set the reinforcement bars at the correct levels.
  
• Work closely with formworkers and concreters to identify the requirements for reinforcement and its placement.
  
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations regarding the use and placement of rebar.
  
• Maintain tools and equipment ensuring they are in good working order and available for use when needed.
  
• Collaborate with the construction team to ensure timely completion of projects.
  

Essential Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Steelfixer with a minimum of 2 years in the construction industry.
  
• Basic education or vocational training in construction metalwork or a related field.
  
• Knowledge of construction practices safety standards and regulations in the UAE
