- Proven ability to successfully deliver port and coastal construction projects
- Reviewing designs, drawings, construction methodologies, test results, risk assessments and any other documents on behalf of the Client in accordance with local and international (BS and EU) standards and practices.
- Has wide experience in project construction supervision in Dredging and reclamation work experience, past project in marine structures like Quay walls, wharves, etc.
- Has Knowledge of different construction methodologies i.e. Block wall construction for quay/wharves, secant piles, etc.
- Shall have an excellent understanding of BS/EU codes, marine-related guidelines and standards (BS6349, PIANC, CIRIA, etc.)
- Liaising with the Client on a daily basis, the candidate will effectively be a member of the Clients team.
- Supervising the Contractors works by performing daily inspections, ensuring that the works are progressing in accordance with the approved design drawings and design standards.
- Review and ensuring the proposed methods of construction, materials, etc. are in accordance with good engineering practice and do not endanger the safety of the Client s staff and equipment or that of its customers or neighbors.
