Senior Financial Accountant - JAH Consulting

1. Job Purpose

To support and assist the Deputy Finance Manager in the effective operation of Accounting functions in line with a modern manufacturing business adhering to international Accounting standards. This role serves as key to the execution of daytoday functions and has a crucial role in providing reliable financial data reporting analysis and preparation of accounts and supporting information for audit purposes.

Critical Success Factors

Verifying allocating posting and reconciling accounts payable and receivable.

Producing errorfree accounting reports and present their results.

Analyzing financial information and summarizing financial status.

2. Primary Duties Performed

Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.

Provide technical support and advice on Management Accountant

Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.

Participate in financial standards setting and in the forecast process.

Provide input into departments goal setting process.

Assist with regular audits and month end reconciliation.

Direct internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

Support monthend and yearend close process

Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.

Ensure compliance with stockholders principles.

Liaise with our Senior Financial Manager and Deputy Finance Manager to improve financial procedures.

Any other related duties assigned by the direct manager.

Qualifications and Experience Required

BS degree in Accounting Finance or relevant.

Minimum of 35 years of relevant experience as a senior accountant in Maunfactring industry.

Experience with general ledger functions and the monthend/yearend close process

Advanced MS Excel skills

Excellent Microsoft Office and ERP knowledge.

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication.

Salary: BD500.000 BD800.000 per month
