Senior AutoCAD Draftsman

An amazing opportunity to work with a well-known, award winning International Interior Design firm. They are looking for a Senior AutoCAD Draftsman with a minimum of 5 years experience to be based in their Dubai office. Were looking for someone to works in a lead discipline position, responsible for all drafting tasks associated with each discipline. (I.e. Electrical, Control, Instrumentation, Communication etc.). Thorough knowledge of design drafting codes and practices specific to the particular discipline are essential. Produces conceptual drawings, construction drawings and associated engineering documents. In addition, shall conduct the drawing checking and verification function.

• Collaborate with the Senior Architect to collect information of the initial drafts on CAD systems.
  
• Collect quotations from different suppliers until BOQ for the client is completed.
  
• Coordinate all aspects of projects including site measurements, analysis for masonry, HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and pluming.
  
• Check, review and examine drawings prior to blue printing, collate and prepare the sets of drawings for signing.
  
• Check tolerances, dimensions, and fabrication feasibility of designs and work with engineers to resolve problems.
  
• Document designs and provide associated drawings that meet project specifications.
  
• Provide detailed design drawings to support construction and infrastructure projects.
  
• Ensures that a set of Master drawings are prepared as part of the Critical Drawings Update project and they are continuously updated to reflect the "As Built" status, incorporating the changes due to implementation of new projects.
  
• Manage team of AutoCAD draftsmen.
  
• Handle production for drawings, third phase (submit to client or contractor for pricing)
  
• Details of joinery interior and external construction
  
• Site visits to inspect and measure the preliminary work
  
• Receive information from designers to convert into drawings
  
• Make sure drawings are complete before handover to designers
  
• Binding and pdf for submissions, printing various formats of drawing sets for project managers and site superintendents.
  
• Check standards ways to make work more efficient and easier
  
• Creating accurate CAD drawings from hand sketches, verbal instructions, and site visits.
  
• Seamlessly integrating and working with project managers design consultants, and sub-contractors, to produce and alter drawings.
  
• Thinking creatively and critically to support the project team in the design process, to create sketches and drawings that work.
  
• Creating and continually updating project drawings lists.
  
• Systematically saving sketches and drawings on our server; keeping the server organized; updating project folders and files as jobs progress and revisions are made.
  
• Exhaustively reviewing and checking sketches and drawings for errors, before being sent to architects, subcontractors, project managers, etc.
  
• Create, edit, and update standard details for use in projects
  
  

Requirements

• Architecture or Design Graduate
  
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, 3D Studio Max and Google sketch up
  
• Minimum of 5-10 years ofexperience
  
• Must have experience working on high-end residential projects and be able to demonstrate this in their portfolio
