Senior Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including but not limited to income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• VAT Compliance: Manage all aspects of VAT compliance, including timely submission of VAT returns, ensuring adherence to VAT regulations, and resolving any related issues.
• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts to support effective financial planning and decision-making processes.
• Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Bank Reconciliation: Perform regular bank reconciliations to verify the accuracy of transactions and account balances.
• Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial analysis to provide insights into the company's financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and support strategic decision-making.
• Audit Preparation: Assist in the coordination and preparation of financial audits, liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and support as required.
• Internal Controls: Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Communication: Effectively communicate financial information and insights to management, stakeholders, and other relevant parties in a clear and concise manner.
  
  

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent is highly desirable.
• Fluency in Russian and English languages is essential, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
• Proven experience in accounting roles within the real estate development industry, preferably in Dubai or the UAE market.
• In-depth knowledge of VAT regulations and experience in VAT submission and compliance in the UAE.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or similar platforms. Advanced Excel skills are also required.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different departments and levels of the organization.
