Your responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Portfolio Leads the project team establishes the project execution approach and oversees project handover execution planning and monitoring and control activities for both internal and external resources in order to accomplish all project goals. Provides performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects. If taking accountability for a portfolio of projects ensures that the portfolio is managed consistently based on best practices and ABB Policies. Focuses on delivering at or above target.
• Project Execution & Control Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials overseeing project invoicing status cost expenses and cash flow. Identifies qualifies quantifies and manages risk and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures analyzes and shares lessons learned throughout the project. . Ensures that the project is formally closed out as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project contract closeout and its acknowledgement by the customer. Reviews and approves scope budget and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improves effectiveness of work plan in collaboration with other functions.
• Contract Claims and Procurement Management Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements. Supports Contract Managers in issuing claims (new/change in scope of work cost impact time impact risk quantifications etc.). Completes risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in ones area of responsibility. Reports any contract / quality / program / cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution. Provides cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivers within budget and contract. Ensures adherence to safety standards and mitigation of potential risks.
• Stakeholder Relations Acts as key contact for the customer and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders. collaborate with a project planning and control specialist. Interacts with customers officials contractors and others. Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of engineering assignments. Provides leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification. Takes ownership in overlooking and supporting in improving guidelines tools and templates. Ensures compliance to relevant cyber security regulations standards and contractual requirements. Supports local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders. Takes appropriate actions for successful future execution of the projects. Coordinates with Supply Chain Management and successfully procures required services materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers. Supports Supply Chain Management in negotiations claims and project changes.
• Project recovery: Drives any required project recovery efforts and turnaround of troubled projects. Provides support to less experienced Project Managers with the recovery of troubled projects by assessment of the situation and making specific recommendations based on experience. Document Management: Identifies and plans all document deliverables required by the contractual scope of work and incorporates this plan into the overall project plan/schedule. Tracks document progress and followsup on overdue comments from customer.
• Planning & Scheduling Defines jointly with the Project Controls department all project plan documents including scope and financial plans schedule and risk management plans. Coordinates engineering discipline across several projects. Provides technical support for testing installation and commissioning activities. Designs and conducts experiments analyzes and interprets data. Prepares complete project documents in ones area of responsibility. Serves as a specialist in application of advanced concepts and methods. Assists in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials estimated engineering hours etc). Plans and tracks all project activities establishes scheduling risks and opportunities in order to deliver projects on time according to commitments to the customer and ABB. Continuously drives improvement in planning and/or scheduling techniques and collecting and sharing data and lessons learned from previous projects.
• Provides leadership and active involvement in continuous improvement and simplification. Takes ownership in overlooking and supporting in improving guidelines tools and templates. Ensures compliance to relevant cyber security regulations standards and contractual requirements. Supports local Sales and Tendering through early involvement in tenders. Takes appropriate actions for successful future execution of the projects. Develops selects and applies standard techniques procedures and tools. Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reports processes and tools inefficiencies and suggests ideas for improvements.. Maintains network of engineering professionals and shares engineering best practice across different projects and disciplines. Coaches provides support and technical advice to colleagues. Assigns tasks for and directs engineers technicians and administrative staff. May functionally lead a small team.
• Health Safety and Environment Ensures the project follows and complies with company health safety and environmental policies. Creates project HSE Plans and ensures that common HSE policies and reporting are implemented across the project with all stakeholders including collaboration/consortium partners and subsuppliers. Demonstrates unique actions/initiatives to support site safety and ensures consistent HSE performance.

Your background

• Ideally youll hold a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering
• with 7 to 8 years of overall experience in Electrical (Drives / Motors) projects in which 3 to 4 years in Project management Experience
• Proficient in MV Drives & Motors products
• PMP certified & / or ABB PMP certified & / or ABB experience DSAP knowledge
• Proficient in English is required.
