Nursery Teacher

Job Summary To provide children at Nursery with a high-quality early years education and services in line with the Nursery's Vision and Mission. To Establish a professional partnership with parents and families, ensuring that the holistic needs of the individual child are being met. Observing, assessing, and planning for the individual child and maintaining Progress & Learning Journey Files up to date in line with the Nursery's requirements. Main Duties and Responsibilities Planning and instructing children activities that promote social, physical, and intellectual growth Ensuring the health and safety of children and staff are maintained during all activities, both inside and outside the Nursery. Teaching rules of conduct and monitoring indoor and outdoor play. Teaching all areas related to the curriculum, which is focused on helping the children achieve the early learning goals. Motivating and stimulating the children's learning abilities, often using play activities Interacting with and supporting children, providing them with a secure environment to learn Supporting the development of children's basic skills, including physical coordination, speech, and communication. Encouraging children's mathematical and creative development through stories, songs, games, drawing, and imaginative play. Developing children's curiosity and knowledge. Encouraging children to respect local and international cultures within our community Identifying children who: - Have special educational needs - Are high attainers - Are not yet fluent in English Preparing children for a successful transition to Nursery education. • Producing daily, weekly, and yearly plans in alignment with the Nursery's curriculum. Working with other teachers and sharing knowledge to help plan and coordinate work. Observing, assessing, and recording each child's progress. Meeting and communicating with parents to report on children's progress. Keeping up to date with changes in the curriculum and development in best practice. Contributing positively to major nursery events such as Graduation, Field Trips, and Parent-Teacher meetings. Attend Curriculum meetings and any other meetings as directed by Principal Attending in-service training. Providing cover for other teachers as appropriate. Participating in any arrangements made by the Nursery for performance management and continuing professional development Working Hours: Sunday – Thursday from 7.30 am until 2.30 pm Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
