Objectives of the Role

• To support the company-wide drive to strengthen our procedures.
• To help embed a more disciplined way of working, with particular focus on product development, design and industrialisation.
• To reinforce and support the feedback loops between Engineering, Production and QA in order to capture and implement best practice.
• To support the business in the identification and implementation of improved 'design for manufacture' and 'design for quality and reliability'.
• To improve efficiency by improving the rate of right first-time design and right first-time manufacture.
• To support the approval process for AS9100 and to play a leading role in reinforcing the process-driven culture it will bring.
  

Specific Job Role

• Create and update technical documentation, including procedures and manufacturing process instructions
• Identifying any new tooling & fixturing requirements.
• Document MGR Design Standards
• Create and update standard materials lists
  

Requirements

• Sufficient engineering knowledge and experience to understand the design process and to capture best practice.
• Sufficient manufacturing experience and knowledge to understand and capture best practice.
• Good communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive challenge to the wider team.
• Ability to produce technical documentation.
