- Having capabilities to prepare lift plan and do the calculations.
- Assuring that all lifting activities are coordinated and supervised according to the Lifting Plan.
- A briefing for all lifting team members prior to the commencement of any lifting operation regarding the Lifting Plan, the risk control measures, and the safe lifting procedure.
- Assuring that only crane operators, riggers, and signalmen are authorized to operate lifting equipment and they have certifications meeting clients criteria.
- Ensuring that the ground conditions are safe for any lifting operation to be performed by mobile cranes.
- Keep an eye on all lifting operations and be present at all times.
- Taking appropriate measures to rectify unsafe conditions if they are reported to him before the lifting operation.
- Making sure that all lifting gears/accessories are color-coded and having third-party certifications where required and applicable.
