Job Purpose: At Emirates we believe in connecting the world to and through our global hub in Dubai; and in constantly innovating to ensure our customers Fly Better. The International Affairs Department is an essential part of the Emirates Groups management team. The department helps the Group to navigate the complex global environment in which we operate and to achieve our business goals. The team is responsible for managing relationships with governments international organizations and other stakeholders around the world.
About the role
As the International and Government Affairs Manager you will develop implement and manage international and government affairs activities and positions on a global level as they relate to the operations of Emirates. The International and Government Affairs Manager will initiate and support departmental stakeholder engagement and the development and execution of messaging. You will prepare comprehensive analysis case studies presentations articles policy documents consultation responses and correspondence to promote Emirates international and government affairs interests.
What you will do
  • Prepare highquality and timely documents for both internal and external purposes including data analysis meeting files business cases reports talking points briefs submissions letters publications presentations campaigns and articles on international and government affairs to support departmental objectives.
  • Monitor source and analyse intelligence and news regarding political industry and regulatory developments that impact on Emirates commercial and market access interests.
  • Develop Emirates policy positions and prepare instructive fact and databased arguments commentary and content for advocacy documents.
  • Organise and participate in stakeholder meetings/visits in Dubai and abroad and produce appropriate materials for them.
  • Manage departmental projects initiatives and administrative requirements including event and hospitality management publication of public affairs materials and economic impact studies.
  • Provide support to Emirates environmental sustainability programme.
  • Identify build and maintain productive internal and external relationships to achieve business outcomes including providing instructions to retained public affairs and consultancies and developmental support to relevant colleagues in the department.

Qualifications & Experience: This job might be for you if you have:
  • Bachelors degree in a subject related to international affairs communications government or political affairs.
  • 8 years experience in a government relations ministerial office public affairs or airline environment
  • Strong writing skills ability to produce highlevel reports and research.
  • Demonstrable capability in the field of statistics modelling and data analysis ability to analyse large volumes of data.
  • Expert in quantitative and qualitative research
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrable influencing skills with internal and external stakeholders
