Infrastructure and Security Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support, troubleshooting, operations to IT Infrastructure and Security services
• Provide Day to Day Proactive Operations, Re-active support, as well as Disaster Recovery operation
• Work with the Network and IT teams to implement the related projects.
• Deliver technical implementation and solution design within Infrastructure and Security services.
• Assist and migrate legacy Infrastructure and Security services and applications.
• Deliver technical documentation
• Coordinate, manage and administer the updating of rules and signatures (e.g., intrusion detection/protection systems, anti-virus, and content blacklists) for specialized security applications
• Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and coordinating the protection of critical security Infrastructure and key resources
• IDS/IPS Signature Analysis, Development and Testing
• Web Content Filtering Analysis, Development and Testing
• Tune IDS/IPS Systems
• Review/analyze requested changes for equipment, technology and/or other factors/trends, which may impact existing solution consistent with solution modifications.
• Monitoring security infrastructure, identifying and reporting Real Time attacks and vulnerabilities on the client network.
• Identification of incidents and subsequent analysis and investigation to determine their severity and the response required.
• Ensure that incidents are correctly reported and documented in accordance with government policy and procedures.
• Be prepared to provide a Technical Escalation Point during security incidents, establishing the extent of an attack, the business impacts, and advising on how best to contain the incident along with advice on systems hardening and mitigation measures to prevent a reoccurrence.
• Maintain a keen understanding of evolving threats and vulnerabilities to ensure the security of the client network.
• As required update Protective Monitoring/SOC documentation, processes and procedures and ensure currency.

Requirements

Certification Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• ITIL Foundation (Preferred)
• CCNA Routing and Switching (Must)
• CCNP Routing and Switching (Preferred)
• MCSE: Core Infrastructure (Must)
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (Preferred)

Technical Skills:

• At least 3 years of experience in infrastructure and security operations
• Experience on Load balancing, Authentication and Hybrid Identity technologies.
• Strong experience of SIEM, Firewall, Cyber, ArcSight, LogRhythm, RSA
• Experience in AD and Mail Security (Antispam, ATA, security practices and health check)
• Experience deploying and maintaining endpoint security products
• Experience in Service Continuity (Backup- Archiving Solution)
• Experience in Microsoft Server features (ADFS – DFS – RMS – WSUS – WDS – CA).
• Experience with firewall, IDS, and IPS operations and configurations
• Experience with multiple computing platforms, including Network, Windows, OSX, Linux, etc.
• Solid understanding of client/server, networking, and Internet technologies fundamentals.
• Knowledge in Security Correlation and Analytics platforms
• Knowledge in with User Behavioral Analytics platform
• Knowledge in Virtualization (Microsoft Hyper-V, VMWare).
• Demonstrate solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workloads and meet targets.
• Displays an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
