Job Summary

Provides functional direction to employees working in the field supervises contractor crew in assigned areas monitors soil mix preparation for different plant categories from propagation cutting to seed germination supervises propagation techniques and selection and maintenance of indoor plants. Assists technical crew in identifying plants through their scientific and botanical names and coordinates landscaping activities. Analyzes and forecasts materials used in greenhouses/nursery operation.

Responsibilities:

• Works independently with guidance from the Division or Unit head.
• Provides technical advice on agriculture/horticulture.
• Advises gardening landscaping golf course and nursery staff.
• Supports plant production landscaping gardening maintenance pest control and related activities.
• Offers functional support to other areas in gardening maintenance and project planning.
• Directs research and experiments on land use suitable plant varieties nursery operations and pest/weed management.
• Provides guidance on planning community projects for quality landscaping and cost reduction.
• Designs work programs for Gardening Landscaping and Nursery personnel.
• Reviews and advises staff performance preparing periodic reports.
• Guides staff training in agricultural/horticultural technology and pest control.
• Coordinates Integrated Pest Management programs to control pests in landscaped areas.
• Conducts surveys and studies plant pests to improve control efforts.
• Studies soil characteristics and develops measurement techniques and soil conservation methods.
• Consults with engineers on soilrelated issues and solutions.
• Plans and supervises land conservation and reclamation programs for industrial development projects.
• Manages waste management programs for composting and landscaping.

Requirements:

• This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Dhahran Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelor of Science in Agriculture and Natural Resources with a focus on Agriculture (General) or Horticulture.
• Broad knowledge of agricultural theories and practices as well as modern landscaping and gardening techniques.
• 4 years experience as agriculturist.
• Ability to prepare clear and accurate activity reports and make presentations to gardening staff.
• Experience in agricultural production nursery management and landscaping in arid areas.
