Gift Box Makers

• Read and interpret design specifications including dimensions materials colors and finishing details to ensure accurate production of gift boxes.
  
• Set up and operate machinery and equipment such as cutting machines folding machines and gluing machines to cut shape fold and assemble cardboard paperboard and other materials.
  
• Measure and cut materials according to specified dimensions using cutting tools rulers and templates ensuring precision and consistency in production.
  
• Fold glue tape or stitch edges and seams of gift boxes to securely assemble them paying attention to alignment and aesthetics.
  
• Apply decorative elements such as ribbons bows labels and logos to enhance the visual appeal and branding of gift boxes.
  
• Inspect finished products for quality defects including scratches dents misalignments and printing errors and make necessary adjustments or repairs.
  
• Maintain a clean and organized work area including machinery tools and supplies to ensure safety efficiency and compliance with workplace standards.
  
• Follow standard operating procedures and safety protocols to prevent accidents injuries and damage to equipment or materials.
  
• Collaborate with colleagues and supervisors to prioritise tasks meet production deadlines and address any issues or challenges that may arise during the manufacturing process.
  
• Contribute ideas for process improvements cost savings and product innovations to enhance the overall efficiency and competitiveness of our gift box manufacturing operations.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience in gift box making packaging or related manufacturing roles is preferred.
  
• Knowledge of materials tools and techniques used in gift box production including cardboard paperboard cutting machines folding machines and glueing machines.
  
• Ability to read and interpret design blueprints sketches and specifications to execute production tasks accurately.
  
• Attention to detail and manual dexterity to perform precise measurements cuts folds and assembly operations.
  
• Strong organizational skills and time management abilities to prioritise tasks and meet production schedules in a fastpaced environment.
  
• Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors and contribute to a positive work culture.
  
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new skills and techniques as needed to support evolving production requirements.
  
• Physical stamina and ability to stand bend lift and move objects weighing up to specific weight pounds repeatedly throughout the workday.
  
• High school diploma or equivalent education is required.
