Gap Controller Assistant - Areeb Human Resources Company

On behalf of our client we are looking for a Gap Controller/Assistant

Job Summary:

The Gap Controller/Assistant will work in the Production Manufacturing & Engineering departments of an iron and steel company. The primary responsibility of the Gap Controller/Assistant is to ensure that gap control is maintained during the manufacturing process of spiral pipes. The successful candidate will have knowledge of ASME IX and experience in using SAW/SMAW equipment in spiral pipemills/fabrication. They must also have Jaegar No. 1 eyesight requirement within the last 12 months or Ishihara eye chart within the last 12 months and be fluent in English.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Maintain gap control during the manufacturing process of spiral pipes.
• Ensure that the quality of the pipes meets the required standard.
• Conduct quality checks and defect analysis of the pipes.
• Maintain records of the manufacturing process and pipe quality.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify areas for improvement in the manufacturing process.
• Work with the quality management team to ensure that the quality of the pipes meets the required standard.
• Train and mentor junior staff on gap control and quality management.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field preferably.

Experience:

• 5 years of experience in spiral pipe manufacturing.
