Equipment Specialist

One of our esteemed clients in the ship building industry is currently seeking an Equipment Specialist to be based in Dammam Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Job Overview:

As an Equipment Specialist you will have a crucial role in managing and maintaining the equipment and machinery used in our shipbuilding and maritime operations. Your expertise in equipment management maintenance and your deep understanding of the maritime industry will be instrumental in ensuring the reliability and performance of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures for maritime equipment machinery and systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to assess the condition of equipment and identify maintenance needs.
• Perform repairs and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions to minimize downtime.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for equipment repairs and servicing.
• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and ensure their availability for maintenance and repairs.
• Manage the procurement of spare parts adhering to budgetary guidelines.
• Ensure that equipment and machinery meet regulatory and safety standards.
• Implement safety protocols and procedures for the use of equipment.
• Maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance repairs and performance.
• Generate reports on equipment status and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with various departments including engineering operations and procurement to ensure equipment requirements are met.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Proven experience as an Equipment Specialist or in equipment management within the maritime or shipbuilding industry.
• Strong knowledge of maritime equipment machinery and systems.
• Proficiency in maintenance and repair techniques.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and standards in the maritime sector.
• Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Saudi Nationals are given first preference.
