Position Summary:

• Manage inhouse and outsourcing engineering multidisciplinary engineering management.
  
• Maintain strong relationships with key client positions.
  
• Oversee Engineering work by contract engineering and design teams.
  
• Lead manage and provide daytoday direction to a team of engineers.
  
• Equip the contract engineering team with highcaliber engineers.
  
• Manage contract engineering and design resource requirements in line with contract needs.
  
• Promote effective communication within the Engineering team to foster safe costeffective fitforpurpose designs.
  
• Provide technical leadership and decisionmaking for engineering work.
  
• Participate in and lead project safety and design reviews.
  
• Provide technical assistance direction and support during construction and installation activities.
  
• Ensure competency assessments for engineering and design team members.
  
• Lead technical investigations identify root causes and capture lessons learned.
  
• Liaise and report Engineering Progress and Issues.
  
• Troubleshoot design identify and resolve issues with engineering and fabricator through Site/Technical Queries.
  
• Attending engineering progress meetings and generate status reports.
  
• Manage the provision of input to technical proposals.
  
• Assist construction personnel with general technical queries and details.
  
• Complete work with quality and deliver according to schedule.
  
• Enhance processes and procedures in the current engineering function and create new processes and procedures for large value EPC projects.
  
• Lead a team of multiple discipline design engineers and draughtsman in the proper execution of engineeringrelated activities for various projects.
  
• Be involved in detailed design calculations preparation of engineering data sheets & specifications shop fabrication drawings and troubleshooting design problems.
  
• Engage in preaward activities such as preliminary design preparation of tender drawings material takeoffs cost estimation collaborating with commercial/procurement material sourcing and vendor development.
  
• Frontend with clients and handle queries and clarifications for various engineering disciplines.
  
• Work closely with the project management team to ensure proper execution of the job within the specified scope.
  
• Manage design issues with subcontractors and ensure compliance with client design.
  

Key Qualifications and Skills:

• Either 10 years of experience as a Senior Engineer or 5 years experience as an Engineering Manager in a large O&G EPC company or on O&G EPC Projects.
  
• Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering discipline with a preference for Mechanical Engineering as an educational background.
  
• Must be capable of leading multiple disciplines and effectively interface with all disciplines inhouse and with those of the client.
  
• Must have excellent design related skills in terms of interpreting designs and to help the design team produce working or production drawings effectively.
  
• Experience working with multinational and multicultural project teams.
  
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of engineering design and project delivery.
  
• Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards.
  
• Experience managing engineering teams.
