Duties/Responsibilities:

• Develop an effective and accurate system for monitoring purchase orders.
  
• Shop, order, and track the purchasing of equipment and supplies needed in the company.
  
• Deliver weekly purchase order report to supervisors that indicate the invoice numbers for all closed orders.
  
• Ensure all deliveries satisfy assigned orders and report any back ordered or missing products.
  

Requirements

• Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel and Outlook.
  
• Strong communicator with supervisors, coworkers, customers and suppliers.
  
• Excellent negotiation skills to obtain the best pricing.
  
• Prior purchasing experience required.
  
• Minimum 3 years purchasing experience in a manufacturing, construction, or distribution environment.
  
• Must be able to move throughout the shipping and receiving department and/or an open-air warehouse.
  
• Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
  

A minimum of 5 10 years material handling or pallet rack experience is required.
