Responsibilities:

Installation configuration and upgrade of MYSQL/Oracle database software including EBS components.

Patch management database version upgrades and optimization for efficient EBS operations.

Performance tuning and optimization.

Comprehensive Backup and recovery management as per SLA RPO for all prod databases.

Expertise in Oracle EBusiness Suite (EBS) administration ensuring seamless functionality and performance integration.

Implementation and management of security measures to safeguard sensitive data.

Work with infosec team perform regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.

Adherence to industry best practices for Oracle database security.

Implementation of Oracle Critical Patch Updates (CPUs) and security guidelines.
Utilization of Oracle Database Vault or similar tools for advanced security controls.

Implementation of transparent data encryption (TDE) or equivalent measures to protect sensitive information.

Implementation and management of robust access controls to restrict unauthorized access to the Oracle database.

User authentication and authorization including rolebased access control (RBAC).

Periodic review and adjustment of access privileges based on changing business requirements.

Proactive monitoring of database health and performance.

Implementation of alerting mechanisms for timely issue resolution.

Maintenance of comprehensive documentation for database configurations and procedures.

Maintain and update database inventory.

Regular reporting on database performance and activities.
