Construction Quality Lead - Enerflex Ltd

Summary

This position supports Construction quality at project site and reports directly to the Site Quality Leader. The role plans coordinates and directs site QA/QC processes. Success in this role is measured by the understanding and adherence to Quality requirements enabling a continuous production of products consistent with the Quality policy Quality system and established industry standards. The role is also responsible for identifying and driving standardization of processes and other productivity improvements that would positively influence function at the site.

Principle Responsibilities and Duties

o Lead Construction Quality and ensure Exterran Quality management system and Customer Quality requirements are fully implemented at Project sites
o Provides oversight to resource planning construction Plant installation and testing meets design and quality requirements
o Develop Construction quality management plan inspection management plans and procedures required for the management of Construction quality from material receipt through to commissioning and startup
o Participate and lead quality audits working in close coordination with work groups for successful implementation of QMS
o Ensure audit findings and nonconformances are identified reviewed and analyzed to address corrective and preventative actions in an effective and timely manner.
o Conduct investigation of customer complaints and perform rootcause analysis and submit reports to Project Quality manager and Construction manager
o Implement monitor report project Quality KPIs and provide input for monthly quality reports to Project Quality Manager
o Manage Nonconformance and CAPAs. Analyze track and trend the findings for continuous improvement of quality management system
o Identify and manage Quality risks and Lesson learns that have an impact on the project
o Conduct Quality Induction training to all new staff joining the Construction team
o Plan and organize quality tool box talks among construction team
o Visit to construction sites and sub supplier fabrication facilities to monitor Quality control activities and report non conformities found and follow up for Correction and Corrective action
o Implement and record construction quality surveillance programs monitor Contractor quality performance and review Contractor quality deliverables
o Ensure test packages are cleared by system/sub system as per pre commissioning priorities
o Lead and guide Construction Quality team to complete final walk down and system check to ensure installation is as per the P & ID.
o Liase with Commissioning team ensure mechanical completion and pre commissioning ITRs are completed construction punch list are closed and submitted as part of the system handover
o Review and approve construction quality data book in line with contractual requirements

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or Diploma in Engineering
ISO 9001:2015 QMS Lead Auditor or equivalent Required Experience & Skills
Shall have minimum 15 years of experience in quality management in Oil and Gas projects including 5 years in construction precommissioning and commissioning phases.
Minimum 5 years prior experience in welding fabrication and NDT methods.
Minimum 3 years prior experience in auditing basics and basic understanding of root cause analysis process and techniques.
Good understanding of other recognized standards and codes such API ASTM NACE ISO DIN and AWS.
Solid organization problemsolving decisionmaking judgment leadership and teamoriented skills are essential to manage multiple projects.
Good communication skills to liaise with quality and cross functional counterparts to address quality related matters.
Ability to coordinate with customers and third party inspectors.
Solids knowledge in the use of Microsoft suite of office software applications (Word Excel Power Point and Outlook).
Ability to read write speak and understand English.

Preferred Experience & Skills

Experience in using SAP Quality module.

Preferred Training & Certifications

LSS (Lean Six Sigma) training and belt certification.
