Communications Engineer

Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic or communication systems engineering or similar related field.
• An understanding of procurement and contracting in a government, or Defence industry environment
• High levels of enthusiasm with an outcome-focus and problem-solving attitude toward their work.
• Skills and experience in writing documentation conforming to government writing standards.
• A strong ability to communicate with a range of internal and external engineering, commercial and technical stakeholders.
• An ability to pick up new and complex processes and systems quickly.
• A high level of competence and experience in using Microsoft Office applications, in particular Word and Excel formatting, tables and merging of documents.
• NV1 security clearance is essential for this role
  

Highly Desirable

• Experience using the ASDEFCON suite.
• Understanding of the One Defence Capability System (formerly the Capability Life Cycle) and the Defence procurement processes and procedures.
• Experience working in a Defence Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) environment.
